The Re-imagining the Middle Grades Project is a component of the School District of Philadelphia's Magnet School Assistance Program Grant. The schools involved with the grant are Bache-Martin and Franklin Learning Center.
The overarching goal of the grant is to decrease minority isolation by inviting families back to the public schools (from charters, privates, and other magnets).
The Re-Imagining the Middle Grades Project supports the following sub-goals of the grant:
Expanding the use of instructional strategies (Real World Learning) to make learning more engaging.
Support school organizational changes that better support student learning.
To build a strong connection between the two school participating in the grant, and to create the possibility of K-12 Magnet program continuum for students.
